Support parents with children/young people to access services and support. Providing feeding support to new mothers.
To assist with the organisation, running and evaluation of Latch on Groups in the area.
To make new mothers welcome at groups.
To offer support and advice re breastfeeding to women attending groups i.e. antenatal or postnatal
To offer support and advice on an individual basis as agreed (e.g. home visits, telephone contacts, etc.)
To liaise with local midwives and health visitors and refer breastfeeding women to them as appropriate
To undertake appropriate training/supervision
To report any child protection concerns to project worker or children’s services manager
