|Organisation:||Improving Lives Plymouth|
|Location:||Ernest English House, Buckwell Street, Plymouth, PL1 2DA|
This role can be done for as many hours as you would like to give. The only commitment we ask is that you attend an initial Mayflower Makers training day.
Are you interested in getting involved with local events around Plymouth? Would you like to know more about Mayflower 400 and what will be happening in the City leading up to 2020?
Mayflower 400 marks the commemorations of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower departing Plymouth, UK for the USA. Main events for the commemorations will be taking place from November 2019 - November 2020. We are looking for informal volunteers who would like to become Mayflower ambassadors.
Your role as a Mayflower Maker would involve sharing knowledge with others about the commemorations. This could be done at work, when socialising or at events. You will be kept up to date with information regarding Mayflower 400 and invited to networking events and to volunteer at Mayflower 400 events.
As this is an informal volunteering role, there will not be a specific amount of hours that you volunteer for. The only commitment that we ask is that you attend an initial training session. This will involve you gaining information about Mayflower 400, the Mayflower story and some of the events which will be taking place. You can find dates for the training available here: https://www.improvinglivesplymouth.org.uk/our-services/volunteer-connections/vc-make-a-difference-for-mayflower-400/mayflower-makers.
By requesting contact details you will be contacted with further information about becoming a Mayflower Maker. Please get in touch if you would like to book onto one of the training courses and become a Mayflower Maker.
