Action for Children

Name: Administrative Fundraising Assistant
Organisation: Action for Children
Location: Stoke Methodist Church, Devonport Road, Stoke, Plymouth, Devon, PL3 4DS
Type: Full Time
Hours are flexible - whenever you're available is fine by us.

Description

We're looking for a warm and friendly person to help our Devon and Cornwall fundraiser. Action for Children is the official children's charity of the Methodist Church. We need someone who's happy chatting on the phone to keep in touch with our lovely supporters. There won't be any selling or anything like that, it literally is just chatting on the phone! We don't mind how old you are or what your experience is. You will need a good level of spoken English. You may also get involved in other things we are doing, depending on your skills. Computer skills would be great, but not essential. The hours are flexible - the office is based in Stoke village, Plymouth. Although the job is based within a Methodist Church, you don't have to be religious to do the role!

Organisation Description

From before they are born until they are into their twenties, we help disadvantaged children across the UK. We help them through fostering or adoption – and by intervening early to stop neglect and abuse. We make life better for children with disabilities. We influence policy and advocate for change. Our 7,000 staff and volunteers operate over 600 services, improving the lives of 370,000 children, teenagers, parents and carers every year. We succeed by doing what’s right, doing what’s needed, and doing what works for children.
