Friday 6th April or and Saturday 7th April
We can't run this sale without our amazing volunteers and we always need more. If you would like to volunteer your time for the Friday night and/or Saturday day that would be amazing. We have a link that you can sign up on here: https://nct.intrabiz.co.uk/cgi-bin/sys.cgi?action=NCT-product-client_view&id=35253174
As a volunteer you will get first pick of the amazing bargains on offer during our volunteer pre-sale. You become involved with a great bunch of volunteers, all helping a charity that supports local parents in their first 1000 days of parenthood. We have jobs to suit everyone - sorting and displaying merchandise, using tills, refreshments, parking, tag sorting, meeting and greeting...the list goes on. If you help us on the Friday and Saturday we will provide you with a hot lunch and, if you are a seller, you will get a 5% discount on the commission rate - so you keep 80% of the profit from your sold items. We can't say fairer than that!
So, mums, dads, grandparents and friends alike are all welcome to help out. It's a lot of fun! This year your point of contact will be Emily, you can contact her via firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do volunteer and need to let us know about any special requests/considerations, or cannot do the times stated but still want to help, please let Emily know via the email above.
Our mission is to support parents throughout the first 1,000 days to have the best possible experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
We do this though three interconnected aims;
• sharing knowledge: informing parents’ decisions and increasing their confidence,
• creating networks: forging vital friendships,
• harnessing voices: changing public policy and attitudes for good.
Volunteers, parents, grandparents, and expectant parents just like you, run our branch. You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can. It is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends, and represent the NCT. We are currently looking for volunteers for a variety of roles.
We also have numerous trainee midwives and social care workers who volunteer with us to gain experience with children.
You will be:
• a willing team member,
• happy working in a pop-up charity shop environment,
• enthusiastic about helping new or parents to be,
• enjoy setting up and putting out toys and clothes.
• Working in a team environment.
• Taking direction.
• Organisation skills.
• Working with the general public.
