Would you like to be part of a great team? Do you love working with the elderly? We are looking for a volunteer who can look after the cooking for our weekly run lunch time clubs. You should be available every week if possible and be happy to engage with the group. Additional help can be offered if required from the Methodist Deacon and family worker, who are usuallly on hand so as a volunteer you will not be on your own.
The lunch group meets every Monday and consists of 8 - 10 people. Volunteers would need to be available from 9.30am - 1.30pm. Three Mondays out of four we offer a three course meal which includes soup, a main meal and a sweet, this is offered to the elderly of the community. The fourth Monday we offer soup and a sweet as we engage in an exercise group.
